Airport fees will be dismissed as of June to encourage airlines them to open more routes

Landing and take off fees will be removed for commercial airlines at five different airports, these are; Petchabun Airport, Pattani Airport, Mae Sariang Airport, Tak Airport and Mae Hong Son Airport.

The suspension of fees will last for five years in a bid to attract airlines to create routes to the five different locations as only a few travel to the airports at this time.

Currently Thai Airways and Bangkok airways have made progress to be re-certified, and there is believed to be an estimated twenty-four re-certifications between airlines still awaiting authorisation from Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand

The Ministry of Transport expects to see a huge increase in regional connection in the near future.
