Today will be another dry day across the kingdom as alcohol sales are prohibited by law for 24 hours to mark Wan Org Pansa (the end of Buddhist lent.)
For anyone caught supplying alcohol they can face some pretty steep fines of up to 10,000 baht or even six months in jail, or both thanks to Section 39 of the Alcohol Control Act.
There are likely to be several other no-alcohol days throughout October and we will announce dates for these once official announcements are made from the government.
So for all of you that enjoy the occasional tipple stay tuned we will keep you up to date with all the goings-on.
