Bangkok about to open Southeast Asia's largest IKEA store in March

Thailand is about to be the new home of the largest IKEA store in Southeast Asia once the new store opens on the outskirts of Bangkok come March 15, replacing Malaysia’s Johor Bahru IKEA store as the largest.

The new store which will be Thailand’s second IKEA store will open next to the Central Westgate in Nonthaburi and boast a retail space of 50,278 square-meters over three stories.

It was reported that unlike most IKEA stores the new store will feature checkouts on all three floors and will have six entrances and exits.

It has been said that the brake from the conventional IKEA design has been made to accommodate the Thai publics approach to shopping.

Thailand opened its first IKEA store which offers ready-to assemble flat pack furniture back in 2014 in Bang Na.

With furniture prices relatively higher here than Europe or America will you be taking a drive to the new store once it opens?
