Both Sanam Luang and Nai Avenue in Bangkok will be closed to the public and vehicles until October 31, as a result of preparations for the Royal Cremation ceremonies due to begin on October 25.
The road closures came into effect yesterday (October 8) meaning that the roads will only be accessible by authorised personnel.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is behind the closures stating that they had to be closed to carry out landscape adjustments and for security preparations.
The Royal Cremation ceremonies for the late beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej will begin on October 25 with the cremation taking place on October 26 and the final day of ceremonies concluding on October 29.
