Prime minister Prayuth Chan-ocha has ordered that all CCTV cameras across the nation be inspected to increase security in the kingdom.
This will mean some 300,000 cameras nationwide both government operated and privately owned will be check to make sure they are fully functional and operating to maximum efficiency.
They want all know cameras to be fully operational in the event police need to use footage as evidence.
The PM also said that if more cameras are required, agencies can request funding from the government to purchase them, however the government could not afford to replace all older models for newer ones.
The new order is designed to make privately owned camera operators aware that they are required to hand over footage if asked to do so by the authorities.
Faulty equipment will no longer be an excuse to not provide footage if required to do so.
With all these fully working cameras who knows what sites will get captured on camera
