BANGKOK, 31st October 2018 (NNT) – The Prime Minister has expressed his condolences to family members and lauded the life and achievements of King Power CEO Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, as the authorities in the UK prepare to investigate the black box from the crashed helicopter that took his life and the lives of four others.
The United Kingdom’s Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has now retrieved the black box from the King Power helicopter, which crashed outside of King Power Stadium in Leicester City on the weekend, and is transporting it for analysis in Farnborough. The branch is collecting other remnants of the craft to help in the investigation.
Eye witness accounts and surveillance footage of the incident, have so far only shown the helicopter losing stability mid-air and falling towards the car park. Leicester City police said via Twitter that a drone was not in the area during the incident.
Leicester City Football Team has opened King Power Stadium for fans to sign a memorial book and a petition has been started on change.org to change the stadium’s name to Vichai in honor of the team’s late owner.
