It’s all smiles at BMW Group Thailand as they celebrate what they are calling “yet another historical achievement” after a total of 11,030 BMW and Mini’s were delivered to customers throughout 2017 here in Thailand which marks a 39 percent increase year-on-year and the first time the company’s yearly sales have made it into 5 digits.
This year is reportedly already off to a good start for the German car manufacture who said that a total of 816 BMW and Mini’s were delivered to customers in January, up 10 percent from 2017.
BMW’s manufacturing plant here in Thailand located at the Amata City Industrial Estate in the province of Rayong hit the milestone of assembling 100,000 units last month comprising of cars and motorbikes, some of the newer models assembled will be showcased at the 39th Bangkok International Motor Show which will take place later this month.
BMW Group Thailand president Stefan Teuchert said that reaching 100,000 assembled vehicles shows the companies commitment to the luxury car market here in Thailand.
New cars slated to be unveiled to the Thai market this year include the BMW X2, which is the company’s latest addition to the X-range and the BMW 530i Touring M Sport.
