British tourist,, who fell from a moving train whilst travelling to Surat Thani from Bangkok, was discovered lying unconscious some 500 metres from Thung Kha station.
Following emergency treatment in Chumpon province, Mr. Timothy, is now out of danger and should make a full recovery.
Passersby saw the Brit lying close to the railway station, and alerted the emergency services of his plight, who in turn swiftly transferred Mr. Timothy to hospital. The victim was in a coma in intensive care, where emergency procedures were carried out to remove a blood clot from his brain.
Mr. Timothy was travelling with a friend, when he decided to go for a smoke. His travel companion, Ross Wilkirk, fell asleep but when he awoke his friend was not present. A search of the train proved to be fruitless and he informed the railway police.
He discovered his friend had been hospitalised later that day.
Mr Timothy’s mother is believed to be travelling to Thailand to be with her son.
