A 37-year-old Canadian tourist has been charged with reckless driving after performing a U-turn which resulted in the death of one motorcyclist and injured another
The accident happened on Chao Fa West Road yesterday afternoon.
Police are still conducting their investigation and have decided not to release the Canadian man’s identity yet.
The accident was caught on a Motorbike dealerships CCTV and showed the white Toyota attempt a U-turn before being struck by two motorbikes both traveling at speed.
Pririya Kraikeaw, 24, was pronounced dead upon arrival at hospital as a result of head wounds sustained in the accident, he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
His motorcycle hit the car with such force that the front forks of the bike were left impaled in the Toyota.
The second victim was Tirachat Junsawet who was taken to hospital after sustaining leg injuries in the crash. The Driver of the Toyota was also taken to hospital to be checked out after suffering minor injuries.
The Canadian tourist has been charged with reckless driving.
