Members of a charity cycling trip pedalled across the finish line in Chiang Mai on Sunday raising over 26 million baht for people with disabilities here in Thailand.
The cycle trip called “No One Left Behind” was carried out by the Universal Foundation for Persons with Disabilities and comprised with 20 people with vision disabilities or who were blind and 20 volunteers who cycled a total distance of 867km from Bangkok to Chiang Dao.
They set off from Bangkok on January 28 and cycled across eight provinces before reaching their destination on Sunday.
The money raised will be used to help build a vocational training facility for people with disabilities in Chiang Dao with the intention to help empower people with disabilities and to also provide help and support in finding employment.
