Chiang Mai Zoo unveils trio of white tiger cubs to the public

The Chiang Mai Night Safari introduced a trio of white tiger cubs yesterday ahead of planned Chinese New Year Celebrations.

The zoo’s director Netnapa Sutthithamdamrong introduced the three-month old cubs who’s names are Fufu (wealth) Facai (good luck) and Ping-an (peace.)

The three cubs, two males and one female where presented with a special frozen meat cake as a treat at their unveiling.

It was also announced that the three cubs would be part of a special celebration on Friday in the “Tiger World” zone of the zoo which will include a Chinese lion dance and Wushu martial arts show to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Speaking further about the zoo Netnapa said that the zoo now has a total of eight male and nine female black Indochinese leopards in custom made enclosures to imitate their natural environment in an effort to encourage breeding and help with species conservation.
