New transparent plastic bags will be on the streets of Bangkok to replace the current solid plastic bins following the recent pipe bomb explosion in the capital’s Ratchadamnoen Avenue.
The explosion injured two people, who were cleaners working nearby.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA will replace all the bins on all main roads in attempt to reduce the chances of a repeat scenario, believing it will assist in seeing any such devices through the clear bags.
Bangkok governor Pol Gen Asawin Kwanmuang is considering the safety of tourists in this latest move.
