A twenty-one-year-old student from Hat Yai, who was visiting hospital got a shock when he arrived back at the car park, to find his motorcycle clamped.
The lad made his way to the local police station, as per the instructions left for him, to discover he had to pay 300 baht. Unfortunately, Nattawut Thatrabiab, didn’t have enough money to pay the fine to have his bike released.
As he walked to see a supervisor in a bid to have his fine reduced, he asked a plain clothes officer for directions. The man asked him what the problem was.
To Nattawut’s surprise, the officer gave him 100 baht to help pay the fine.
The policeman, who did not want to be named, received praise from the student.
It just goes to show, some people have good hearts, even in the police force.
