How many times have you entered a shop, restaurant or approached a street vendor and had to ask “how much” because no prices are displayed?
It is a common occurrence and because prices are not on show, they often vary from customer to customer.
But in Hua Hin, following customer complaints, restaurants have been forced by law to display their prices.
It is believed that consumers are being overcharged in the town and the behaviour is believed have an adverse effect on tourism.
The Hua Hin Municipal Authority descended on to one of the town’s beaches to take action against the businesses.
In addition to forcing clarity of pricing, they informed the owners to maintain cleanliness in and around their businesses.
Like every other tourist area, Hua Hin will see an influx of visitors for Songkran, which begins on Thursday 13th of April.
