Thailand’s hospitals are are in financial trouble as eighteen have revealed that they have debts of at least 90 million baht with some approaching 400 million baht.
A list of hospitals who are in dire need of financial support was revealed by the Federation of Doctors of Central and General Hospitals.
Eighteen Hospitals Are Skint
The worst affected are:
King Rama III hospital 354 Million baht
Saraburi hospital 321
Uttradit hospital 277
Sakhon Nakhon hospital 225
Surat Thani hospital 219
Khon Kaen hospita 214
According to Public Health Minister Dr Piyasakol Sakonsattayatorn finances are at critical levels but offered assurances that the government were doing everything they can to ease the situation.
