A clothes dryer exploded at a laundromat in Nonthaburi this morning (October 9) injuring seven people and the blast destroyed the front of the shop.


Officers who reported to the incident said the explosion occurred at 10:30 am, at the La-ong Fong laundry in Pong Tham Niwet in Nonthaburi’s Pakkret district.

The explosion destroyed the front of the shop and officers are still investigating in an attempt to find out what caused the dryer to explode.

The blast seriously injured five people who were rushed to the Irrigation Department Hospital, two others were badly injured and sent to the Mongkut Chaeng Wattana Hospital, according to officers two of the victims were children.

No report was given as to how severe the children’s injuries were.
