A man who lost his arms and legs in a freak electrical accident has said “I still aim to the bread winner for my family.”
Sonthaya Inthajao, 43, also known as “Lek” was working cutting palm, when the accident happened in April.
Lek, who is still in hospital, was also a voluntary police officer, and is said to be in good spirits in Surat Thani’s Chaiya Hospital.
Lek lives with his parents following the break up of his wife and supports them and his two children.
He said “the accident is behind me so now I must see about getting prosthetic limbs and of course a new job, so I can continue to support my family.
“I have never been one to complain. I will fight till my dying breath.”
Lek is very grateful to all his friends and colleagues who continue to visit him in hospital.
A fund has been set up by his father to help with his care.
