A British woman has died as a result of a head on collision in the Krabi province.
Laura Davidson, 44, from England and the van driver Srawut Supap, 40, were killed when the van’s tyre burst forcing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The public transport van ploughed into an oncoming songthaew, leaving the pair dead and four seriously injured.
The accident happened Wednesday, April 5th, around midday on highway 4206 in Krabi’s Koh Klang sub-district. Both Mrs Davidson and Mr. Supap died at the scene.
The van was said to be heading to Hua Hin when the fatal accident took place.
Mrs. Davidson had apparently just arrived at Krabi International Airport before hiring the van to travel to Hua Hin.
The survivors were rushed to hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.
