The founder of social media giant Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg will be visiting Thailand later this month to attend a meeting with Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha.

A press conference was held yesterday by Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak who announced that Mr Zuckerberg would be arriving in Thailand on October 30, ahead of his meeting with the PM in Bangkok to discuss e-commerce.

The deputy PM also stated that an executive from Amazon.com is also scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister in November to also discuss e-commerce.

Back in August the PM opened his own Facebook page in what people say was a move to appear more easy-going and approachable.
