Four men were arrested as they attempted to smuggle one million Ya Ba pills from Chiang Rai to Pathum Thani.
Drug enforcement officers followed the men, who were travelling in two pick ups before alerting officers too stop and search the vehicles when they approached Nakhon Sawan.
The smugglers were named as Chalermsak Thanomrungruang, 20, Settha Sianyamanee, 22 and Thiranai Priyasakul, 20. Another named only as Shin, whose age was given as 19 was also arrested.
The men said they were paid to deliver the drugs to someone at a market in Pathum Thani’s, Khlong Luang District.
The men told police that they were paid to take the drugs from the border in Chiang Rai’s Mae Fah Luang district to an unnamed recipient at a agricultural market in Pathum Thani’s Klong Luang district.
