The Thai government is working with a variety of different agencies and organisations in an effort to spread Buddhist teachings right across the kingdom.
Following a lecture at the Sam Phraya Worawiharn Temple lead by Suwaphan Tanyuvardhana, a Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s office he said that the government has been banding together with all relevant agencies to press for a reform of Buddhism all the while supporting Buddhist principles and religious beliefs and activities here in Thailand.
Suwaphan noted that promotion of Buddhism and all related activities is more difficult than administrative reforms as there is no way of measuring its success as results are subjective.
He said like many problems, religious conflicts need to be solved with constructive solutions which include cooperation and understanding.
