Take a break

Thailand’s authorities are urging drivers to take breaks if they feel tired at the wheel.

Fatigue is a known killer, typically when travelling over long distances. Common sense tells us that we should stop at a suitable resting place, get out the vehicle and partake of some coffee.

Ideally drivers should take a break every two hours.

If needed, have a nap. It could save your life.

Thailand’s roads are notoriously dangerous. It has one of the worst death rates in the world, many of which are avoidable by following a few simple steps.

So remember folks. ‘

If you feel tired, stop the vehicle when safe to do so. Doing so may just prevent you and others from an early grave.
