A two metre long King Cobra has been rescued from under the bonnet of a car in Phuket.
The driver of the vehicle got into the car and spotted the deadly snake but it disappeared. After dashing from the vehicle he called for help.
Rescue workers searched the car and found it in the engine compartment. They prodded it, so it reared its head then used a loop device to snare the reptile.
It was then bagged and taken away to be released into the jungle.
Many locals noted the car’s number plate to use the numbers in the Thai lottery.
