King orders more time for public to pay respects before Royal Urn

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn has ordered the deadline for mourners to pay their respects before the royal urn to be extended.

Initially the deadline was set for this Saturday (September 30) by the Royal Household Bureau but his Majesty realising the sadness and love that the people of Thailand have for his late Majesty King Bhumibol Adumibol has ordered an extension until midnight on October 5.

As of the start of September over 10 million people had visited the Grand Palace’s Dusit Maha Prasart Throne Hall to pay their respects to the late monarch.
