Water is the new gold in certain areas of Thailand as droughts hit Cambodia.
Cambodian people have been crossing the border to purchase bottled water at the Rong Kluea Market near the Aranyaprathet checkpoint.
Sources say that over 100,000 bottles of drinking water are passing through the checkpoint on a daily basis in a variety of vehicles and carts.
According to Cambodian vendors, the price of water has risen substantially as Thai vendors strive to take advantage of the situation.
Liquid gold indeed.
