A groom was not got to let the fact that his village was submerged in 2-meter deep flood water prevent him from marrying the love of his life and travelled to his wedding via long-tailed boat in Phichit province.
Arthit Siakaew, 26, lead his dowry procession via boats yesterday (October 22) determined that flooding would not ruin his and his bride-to- be’s special day.
Arthits wife-to- be Somruetai Jaisaen, 22, also had to travel by boat to have her hair and make-up done for the big day.
Guests also arrived via boats to the venue of the simplistic Thai style wedding which was held at Somruetai’s home.
The groom’s journey took roughly 40 minutes to traverse the flooded region traveling a distance of over 2km.
The couple said they had been planning the big day for some time and were determined to be wed no matter what.
The pair had been dating for over 2 years prior to yesterday’s nuptials.
Arthit said that he proposed when Somruetai graduated from Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University.
