The King has presided over the religious celebration of this year’s Visakha Bucha Day, a traditional festivity and holiday observed by Buddhists around the world.
King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun attended the ceremony at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, accompanied by his eldest daughter Princess Bajrakitiyabha.
The social occasion began as the King lit candles and incense sticks to pay respect to the Emerald Buddha. This was followed by the contributors taking part in prayers.
The ceremony continued as the King lead officials in a triple circumnavigation of the Chapel Royal before the abbot conducted sermons.
