Shane Evans, who was reported missing by his family after they could not make contact with him have expressed a great sense of relief that he is alive.
Shane’s mother Wendy said they had been through hell since her son sent a message saying simply “I am sorry”.
Shane who is 28, had been travelling around New Zealand since October 2016 before disappearing from the radar. Gloucester police and Interpol have been working in unison as the search widened for the lad.
A trace of his phone provided information suggesting he had travelled to Thailand, which he failed to inform his parents of. Nor did he tell them he had split from his girlfriend.
Mum Wendy is delighted that her son will be returning soon an is looking forward to the reunion with her wayworn son.
So far it is not known where in Thailand Shane has been or what he has been up to but that is irrelevant as far as the family are concerned.
All they want is the safe return of Gloucester born Shane.
The police have been informed that he has been found safe and well.
