Police were alerted to a serious accident in the early hours of Sunday morning (Aug 20) after two motorcyclists reported crashed into two buffalo resulting in the death of the drivers

A witness to the accident informed the police that two motorcyclists had hit a heard of buffaloes near the entrance to the Manik Temple in Srisoonthon and that one of the riders was seriously hurt.

When rescue workers arrived at the scene they found a pregnant buffalo with two broken legs and a man lying in the centre of the road.

Mr Apiwat Noowanna, 25, was badly injured in the accident and workers administered CPR, sadly he died upon arrival at the Thalang Hospital.

Mr Kriangkrai Kaewma, 27, also suffered some minor injuries after crashing into a different buffalo in the heard which was also injured in the incident.

The pregnant buffalo received treatment from a vet before being moved to a forested area however the condition of the fetus is unclear.
