Assawin Kwanmuang, the governor of Bangkok has ordered all district offices to take down all mourning signs for the late king as the year-long mourning period has now officially ended.
Pol Gen Assawin has instructed all premises to remove signs and other related items before 5am on October 30.
He noted that nine replicas of the royal crematorium across Bangkok will not be removed as talks are currently being held to use the venues to exhibit the late King Bhumibol’s royal initiatives and missions as well as showing pictures of the sandalwood flower laying tributes which were carried out during the royal cremation ceremonies.
