Now no one likes receiving an unexpected bill but a 461 trillion baht phone bill would have been sure to cause concern to several customers on the DTAC network here in Thailand who had their services suspended for not paying the insane amount.

The bills were apparently the result of a serious system glitch, however this did not stop angry customers taking to Facebook to post screenshots of their online accounts indeed showing the whopping bills issued and vent their frustration about having their service suspended.

One poster commented “does this amount include all the calls I made in a past life?”
It didn’t take long before the comments started flooding in and DTAC made a public apology for the errors on people accounts.

DTAC said they apologised to the effected customers stating that their bills will be corrected and their service returned to normal.

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) said that they were aware of the incident and have summoned members from DTAC to explain how the malfunction occurred on Tuesday.
