Myanmar’s government will decide over the next quarter, whether they will borrow 4.5 billion baht from Thailand to develop a road from the border with Thailand to Dawei.
The road, when completed, would offer improved transport and economic benefits to both Thailand and the host nation, should they decide to push ahead with the venture.
The countries Commerce Minister, Than Myint, said the government are deliberating on the matter and a decision would be made soon.
If the new road adds to Thailand’s economic status and ability to export goods, then it must be advantageous to the Kingdom.
