Myanmar workers were arrested on Monday and found to be in possession of passports with fake visa stamps.
Police and immigration staff raided a property in Kanchanaburi and discovered 15 Myanmar nationals. They raided the premises following a tip off.
They told authorities they had paid an agent 12,000 baht to find them work in Thailand.
Their passports were perfectly legal, however the visa stamps were fraudulent, resulting in the men and women being charged with illegally entering the country. The owner of the house was also taken into custody.
One of the women, said they paid 12,000 baht each to someone in Myanmar. He promised them work but nothing materialised.
Those in custody will be deported in due course.
