You might not see any Thai police officers sporting long pony tales or wacky haircuts from now on.
A new order has been issued by the Royal Thai Police stating that all officers must dress properly and have short haircuts.
The urgent order was signed into effect on November 15 by Pol Gen Chakthip Chaijinda which states all officers on duty must dress appropriately and have short hair in line with the Prime Minister’s Office’s regulations regarding civil servants uniforms and hair styles.
It was noted that when officers are in uniform wearing caps their hair must not be visible and all officers are required to abide by the regulations.
