The Tourism Authority of Thailand has announced that they expect this year’s upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations to generate at least 20 billion baht from foreign and local tourists visiting celebrations held in 12 Chinese communities in Bangkok and also those happening in multiple provinces.
The announcement was made yesterday by TAT deputy governor Santi Chutintara when announcing that Thailand would be holding a joint celebration with China.
A press conference was held with the deputy governor and Ms Lan Suhong from the Cultural Attaché of the Chinese Consulate here in Thailand to announce the joint celebrations which will commemorate the 43rd anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
