Passengers on a Nok Air flight traveling from Don Mueang to Udon Thani had an unexpected delay and subsequently a change of plane yesterday afternoon after their original craft suffered an electrical systems failure prior to take off.
In an announcement made today by Nok Air they stated that Flight DD9214 was scheduled to depart Don Mueang with 171 passengers onboard at 3:25pm and arrive in Udon Thani at 4:30pm.
The plane suffered a power system malfunction before taking off causing the passenger cabin to heat up.
Repair crews worked to fix the problem but after repairs took longer than anticipated the decision to move the passengers to an alternative aircraft was taken and their flight eventually departed at 5:50pm arriving in Udon at 7:30pm.
