The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) announced on Thursday (October 19) that they have relocated a large tree that had been blocking access to a pedestrian overpass for several years.
The out of place tree has obstructed peoples access to the bridge on Phloen Chit Road in Bangkok for quite some time until recent pictures online generated lots of questions from internet citizens as to what it was doing there.
According to google street view the rather inconvenient tree has been in place for at least 6 years without anyone complaining about having to manoeuvre around it.
Since the pictures were uploaded to Facebook the post has been shared over 2,500 times with many poking fun at whoever built the bride.
It seems now however that the public will have unimpeded access to the bridge after the BMA announced that the tree had been relocated to Henri-Dunant Road which officials said is a more suitable spot for it to continue growing.
