Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Road will be turned into a site to behold on Saturday evening in preparation for the Songkran festival.
The Tourist Board of Thailand (TAT) has said the parade will be five kilometres long with the procession commencing at 17:00 in front of the EMQuartier Shopping Mall and conclude at Siam Square around 21:30.
TAT said the parade, officially named Amazing Songkran 2017, will showcase many aspects of Thai culture.
There may be delays or traffic congestion as parts of the road will be closed to traffic. Commuters are advised to make alternative plans to avoid the route.
