The two Phuket men who were operating the parasailing business that resulted in the tragic death of Roger Hussey, 71, which was captured on video, are placing the blame on the victim.

Mr Hussey survived falling 70 meters from the parasail into shallow water but sadly later died in hospital as a result of his injuries.

The two Thai men are currently in Jail in Phuket facing charges of causing death by negligence said that they had been operating their business for ten years without having any accidents.

According to Rungroj Rakcheep who went up on the parasail with the deceased, the equipment was checked in the morning and it was all correct and it was the tourist who let go then in trying to hold on again released himself.

He said he tried to hold onto the man but was unable to and hell fell to the sea below.

According to reports three other parasail operators have suspended their businesses but the majority of parasail business continued to operate on the beaches of Karon and Patong.

Despite the accident there are still lots of people willing to take part in the activity.
