Officials in the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan have ordered the construction of a border crossing office to be built at the Singkhon Pass which will make the crossing a permanent border crossing once complete.
Panlop Singhaseni the Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan said his authorities are going forward with plans to upgrade the currently temporary border crossing into a permanent border crossing to further support the region’s growing economy and tourism industry.
He said that his office has received a budget of 240 million baht to construct a border crossing office and related facilities needed to carry out immigration controls and processes with the construction to be carried out by the Department of Public Works.
The governor noted that the construction of the permanent crossing will further improve trade and investment along the Thai-Myanmar border.
