Phuket Enters Annual Five Recovery Mode

Phuket will close today for five months. Well that is not strictly true but the annual five-month closure of popular tourists islands around Phuket will mean that many popular areas are not available.

The closure of some attractions is to permit recovery for marine life during the green season.

Marine life will benefit from the lack of human interference for five months.

Areas which will be out of bounds to tourist are Mo Ko Surin National Park, Mu Ko Similan National Park, Koh Rok and Koh Ha in Mu Ko Lanta National Park, Koh Hin Muang Daeng in Hat Chao Mai National Park, and Koh Ardang Rawee and Koh Lipe in the Tarutao National Park in Satun.
