Pol Colonel Chairit Anurit an officer of the Metropolitan Police force, who allegedly drove ex-Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to the Sa Kaew province when she fled the country prior to the verdict of her trail on August 23, is to be dismissed from duty.
The dismissal is a result of a police fact-finding committee’s investigation which concluded that the officer committed a serious disciplinary offence.
The committee also decided that the officer in question also used the vehicle illegally.
The Deputy Chief of the Metropolitan Police, Pol Maj-General Charnthep Sesavej announced yesterday (October 23) that the order for Chairit to be dismissed from duty will be signed then a disciplinary committee will be convened to establish the officer’s punishment.
