Many provinces across Thailand are constructing replicas of the royal crematorium building that are all expected to be complete by mid-October.
Wichian Chanthonnothai, the Governor of Nakhon Ratchasima recently presided over a religious ceremony at the construction site where a replica of the royal crematorium is being built. He said it would take workers two days to build the steel frame for the building and the whole pyre will be completed on schedule by October 15.
Meanwhile in Chumphon province, Governor Narong Pholla-iad presided over a religious ritual attended by officials, soldiers, police and members of the public before construction of an exact replica of the royal crematorium currently under construction in Bangkok will also be built.
The state funeral of His Late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej will take place on October 26.
In Chonburi, Central Plaza and Robinsons Shopping Mall are giving members of the public marigold trees for free to grow at home throughout weekends during September,
In the hope they will bloom during the royal funeral.
