Those of you are thinking of heading to Thailand’s capital Bangkok for Songkran should be aware that six roads in the city will be closed during the festivities.
The roads affected are Khao San, Chakkrabhong, Bowornniwet, Sib Sam Hang, Tanao, and Silom.
It is advisable to avoid these areas unless attending the celebrations.
Closures will be enforced from 13th through to 15th of April.
People thinking of using pick-up trucks carry water tanks and party-goers, should also pay heed to the warnings concerning police intervention and charges being brought against them.
