Severe flooding in the South of Thailand leads to five people drowning

It has been reported that this week’s heavy flooding across the south of the kingdom has resulted in five people losing their lives after an announcement was made by authorities yesterday.

Many photos of the floods damaged and destruction were shared across social medial throughout the week.

The worst effected regions were reportedly the very southernmost point of Thailand, close to the boarder of Malaysia.

Residents in Pattani decided to use small boats after severe flooding affected the region.

According to an official working with the disaster management hotline all five people who were reported to have died lost their lives as a result drowning.

It was also reported that over 380,000 people have been affected as a result of the flooding in the south of the country.

And water levels continue to rise, though at present there is no official evacuation plan in place.
