Social Media Toning Down Out Of Respect For Late King Rama IX

With the Royal Funeral for Beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej just a couple of weeks away now many Thai users of social media, especially Facebook have converted their profile pictures to black and white

As a mark of respect to the late King who passed away on October 13, 2016.

Some users have even changed their pictures to a more sombre image to reflect their grief and sorrow.

There has been no government request for the public to do this they have taken the action upon themselves voluntarily as a way of expressing their sadness during this time.
