Super Soaker : Typhoon, Monsoon Making Thai Storm Sandwich

A powerful storm moving through the South China Sea is expected to bring bone-soaking weather to Thailand.

Rain is expected over most of Bangkok for the next 10 days, but the heaviest downpours will hit the Thai northeast, where state meteorologists today warned of possible flash flooding.

From the other side, the southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea will inundate the southern and gulf regions.

High wave warnings and small craft advisories have been issued on both coasts.
