Suvarnabhumi surprises visitors from mainland China for Chinese New Year

Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok greeted passengers arriving from mainland China with a little surprise yesterday to celebrate Chinese New Year, the year of the dog.

Passengers arriving on China South Airlines flight CZ 3081 from Guangzhou were greeted by airport staff dressed in special costumes and lion dancers.

Staff handed out envelops with souvenir money to those arriving through gate D2.

It is estimated that 2.7 million tourists will travel to Thailand to take part in celebrations which continue until February 20.
