EVA Airlines have announced that they will be starting a daily direct flight from Taipei in Taiwan to Chiang Mai starting this summer.
According to the statement released by EVA Air they anticipate Chiang Mai as being the next big tourist destination for travelers from Taiwan so the company has made the decision to start a daily round trip service which will begin from July 1.
Flights are scheduled to leave Taipei at 7:25am and depart from Chiang Mai at 11:30am with flight times taking approximately 3 hours.
The flights will be carried out by Airbus A321-200’s which have a capacity for up to 184 passengers with eight business class seats.
Chiang Mai is apparently the number one destination for American and European backpackers traveling to Asia and was listed in the top 25 best travel destinations in the whole world, which might have contributed to the company’s decision to start running the daily flights.
