The future of transport from Pattaya to Bangkok is looking bright after those who attended a meeting to discuss the building of a bullet train linking the two cities were wowed by the proposal.
An artist’s impression depicting the proposed route was seen by 200 interested attendees at a meeting presided over by Banglamung district chief Naris Niramaiwong at the Asia Hotel.
If constructed the train will run from Don Muang airport connecting both Suvarnabhumi International Airport and U-Tapao airport.
There will be underground stations at both Suvarnabhumi and U-Tapao airports with an above ground station at Don Muang.
The project is estimated to cost around 200,000 million baht.
There will be several other stations along the route including Bang Sue, Makkasan, Chonburi, Sri Racha, Pattaya and the line will finish in Rayong.
